Dear Maya,
How are you 14 already!?!?! I feel like I just started this blog a minute ago and it's been fourteen years? Every day we grow more and more proud of you and even though we don't want you to grow up so quickly, we're also truly excited about who you are becoming. We love you so much!
We had your family birthday party on Saturday at Grandma and Papa Stan's house. Grandpa came up from North Carolina, too! You chose a Harry Potter themed party and we hand-stenciled several Hogwarts House signs the night before. You loved topping your ice cream cake with a bunch of HP mini figure pencil toppers and passing them out to everyone. Our family gave you some really amazing gifts like a video game, legos, a Zelda light for your room, Pokemon cards, and a remote control snake! Here are some photos from the party:
Today for your actual birthday we had a pretty relaxed day. We went for a walk to the park with Grandpa, Uncle Matt and Aunt Rhi came over for dinner, and we all played games and ping pong and laughed until we could barely breathe. It was such a fun time!
