Dear Maya,
I can't believe you're a teenager now! We're so proud of how well you're adjusting to junior high and growing up in general, and how you are so unapologetically YOU while also being kind and thoughtful. You're just such an awesome kid and we're so glad we get to be along for the ride!
Today we had a family gathering at Grandma and Papa Stan's house to celebrate you. Mommy took fewer photos than ever for a birthday party, but we sure had a great time. Baba made sushi and Japanese style pork cutlets and veggie fritters. You made lots of colorful origami cranes, dragons, and butterflies to hang and top the cupcakes with. And our sweet family all gathered together to love on you and give you so many perfect presents. It was beautiful!
