Six months and SIX!

Dear Maya and Emi,

This has to be the longest mommy has ever gone without blogging--it's been almost six months! Generally I post around Easter but time got away from me and we only just finally got to use your big Easter present this past weekend, so no time like the present I guess? Anyway, here's a snippet of what we've been up to:

January: Playtime in the snow, and your first school dance, Maya!

February: puzzles, plant growth science experiment, Valentine's Day, and a double dental cleaning!

March: we did a LOT!  Maya you had an all-county chorus concert, Emi you had a concert and also went to a sip & strum with me and grandma!

Emi, you and mommy also went on a special trip for just the two of us to the museums in Springfield! There was the Dr. Seuss Museum, of course, but you also really enjoyed the science and natural history museum and the special interactive animation exhibit they had open. We also hit up the art and history museums and really filled up our day. We stayed overnight in Springfield and then slowly made our way home the next day, stopping in a few other towns to walk around and buy some souvenirs.

In late March we had some good weather days and went on a few family hikes at Art Omi and High Falls!

Also at the end of March we celebrated Easter. You both had small goodie baskets and hunted for plastic eggs filled with stones and gemstones, then opened your big present from mommy and Baba--tickets to see the musical Six! You also both had a blast doing a big outdoor egg hunt with your cousins.

April: We celebrated Baba's birthday while watching the eclipse. Emi, you were dealing with a major allergic rash as seen in the photo from that day. We also went to your friend's birthday party that was a circus-themed murder mystery and you two dressed as a ringmaster and a strong-woman which was so fun. Then at the end of the month we had a 5-person Harry Potter family birthday party to celebrate Baba, Aunt Rhi, Uncle Shawn, Cousin Grace, and Papa Stan. That's a lot of birthdays!

And finally, we're here in May. It's been a pretty exciting month so far. We saw Northern Lights (faintly) at our house last Friday. And Maya, you had a band and chorus concert this week (sorry I took video but no photos). And the best part, the day before Mother's Day, we celebrated with our trip to see Six and then an awesome Japanese dinner afterward. It was great!

Well, it's time to close this up. It WON'T be six months before my next post, I promise!
Love you both!
